Teach me Thy way, Oh Lord ...

Well, here it is Sunday Oct 24 already, and just over a week left before surgery (Nov 3rd). I do feel a little apprehensive, and yet at peace knowing we are resting in the arms of Jesus our Savior.

I do not want to miss what it is that my Heavenly Father is wanting to teach me through this, so I am singing & praying "Teach me Thy way, oh Lord. Teach me Thy way."

I do not feel "that bad" physically at present, and have been able to do quite a bit, though I still am finding that the very worst thing to do is sitting - that "locks me up" and brings on a lot of pain & discomfort. Walking at slightly less than normal pace is about the best thing right now. I am trying to keep a little bit active, and do a few things each day, so I am thankful for the Lord allowing me this.

Of course, we do not know exactly how I will be after surgery. The surgeon says there are "no guarantees"! But Lord willing, the pain levels should be reduced and the danger of further damage to the spinal cord should be removed as well. I will end up with a sizeable fusion (L3, L4,L5, S1) which will of course limit my mobility somewhat for the rest fo my life. So there may well be some readjustments to lifestyle that will of necessity take place. Please pray that I will have wisdom from the Lord in the decisions which need to be made. Thanks.

    Hi PK!

This was my first time to your blogging site. Pretty hi-tech?!

Just want you to know that we are praying for you. Our day of prayer at KLBC is on Nov. 2nd (the day before your surgery). We will have the students praying for you throughout the day.

    God bless,

    Dennis Easton

Please know that you are being remembered today; trust your surgery went well Peter.

We will continue to remember you before the Lord.
